Recently on yahoo I read an article by mike wall from space.com about the meteor that comes historically close to earth on Friday . the meteor will come 1/3 between the earth and the moon.this will provide a unique opportunity for researchers to study a near earth object. on thursday NASA will host a press conference at 2 p.m on Thursday. to discuss it flyby. this meteor was discover last year in February by astronomers with la sagra sky survey . this will give sky watchers a point of light through binoculars and small telescopes during its encounter. the best observing will be from eastern Europe Asia and Australia.
